Cosplayer’s Guide to Flawless Skin With Make Up

A tutorial made by me to help out all those cosplayers on how to achieve that flawless photoshopped looking skin by just using make up. This was originally made to help out guys who are pretty new to make up but need to learn it for photo or cosplaying purposes (specifically for one of my friends who is getting into cosplay and doesn’t know where to begin with makeup). More cosplay make up help can be found at the forums of Cosplay(dot)com. Please ignore the fact that the video is squished, it was the only way I know of to upload the video in higher quality… If you have any comments or questions about this tutorial feel free to post it here, and I will try to get back to you as soon as possible. At some point I’ll be posting up some video wig tutorials also, such as sharpie wig dyeing, and cutting or styling tutorials depending on how many people are interested. Once again thank you for watching and I hope this video helps you! This tutorial is amazing! However, I have a question. >= My acne is extremely annoying and peppers itself on my neck and chest. How would I go about covering that up? Would I use the same exact thing, or perhaps change the color of the concealer a bit? I’m also worrying a lot about the amount I would have to use. This stuff tends to get expensive to use if I end up using it on my neck and chest as well every time I cosplay. >=

OMG i’m going to sakuracon too!
I’ll be going fri&sat for sure, but im not completely sure ’bout sunday. I’ll be the midget edward elric(wearing REAL leather pants) or a midget Soubi Agatsuma. Look for me?

Great Tutorial! Do you have one on how to get the white vampire anime skin for the face! NOT bright white but a suttle white? I don’t know what products to use and how to apply correctly. =( I have SAKURA-CON coming up and I’m a character from Angel Sanctuary so I need white fair looking skin but my skin is your color. Help please??? Sakura Con is April! Can you do a tutorial for me as a request?

If you wear translucent powder over your make-up and reapply it occasionally, then the make-up wont be washed off by your sweat. I wear a crap load of it whenever I am in a play, because being in some of those costumes and under those stage lights is like the inferno of hell has been contained in one room.

Cool hair! Btw, I do children’s shows from time to time and when on stage, my skin has to be flawless too. If you really wanna go easy, you can buy stage make-up. It’s applied with a wet spunge, and not really good for your skin. But guaranteed, you see nothing. No wrinkles, freckles, acne.. Gotta practice with it a bit though. You should find your matching colour. And afterwards apply a bit of reflecting powder and blush to look more natural.
    Thnx for uploading!:)

  8. Awesome tutorial. And I love you hair!

I naturally sweat alot because of my high body heat temperature… and I was wondering if the make-up would wash off because of my sweat … o.O

  18. Thank you so much for doing a tutorial like this. I have many horrible, dark scars on my face. Now I can try to cosplay without shame. Thank you.

  19. KayeSchid says:

Really? The Pore Putty can cover up under eye circles? Just how dark are yours?
(Dark circles are what keep me from cosplaying a lot.)

  20. LoveTheLies says:

@OhEmGawd that’s why you bring foundation down to your neck and blend it in. i use a foundation slightly lighter than my skin and that’s what i do.

  21. MrDainS89 says:

Hey thank you for this tutorial, I’m new to the cosplay world, and this was super helpful. Seeing as how I have only ever worn stage make up, but I do have a question for you; I have oily skin should I still use moisturizer, and are there any foundations for those of us with oily skin? Thank you and great job on this tutorial!

  22. This is pretty awesome, thanks for the upload!
