    @simone56, concur.

  2. simone56 says:

@hlywarrior I don’t even respond to this kind of foolishness anymore. I don’t respond to fools according to their folly.

  3. hlywarrior says:

@BlackGORILLA1, and u say I run around on youtube looking for a fight! Really? It seems like its u who runs around provoking people.BTW, I assume u are a member of Tony Smiths church, correct?

  4. simone56 says:

yeah that kills me, folks don’t even TRY to make the weave look natural. And all that colored green, blue, yellow (colors which do not naturally grow out of one’s head) needs to cease today.

    You LOOK SILLY!

  5. what passage is that
thou shalt not wear fake hair?
    how crass

  6. right , lets ignore the haters and keep boosting the economy ;)

  7. simone56 says:

EXACTLY Tia! I love a good synthetic wig/half wig weave.

  8. simone56 says:

@1524k to add, I have worn my hair natural for almost 4 years now just so you know.

Just like food sacrificed to idols, if I receive my food with thanksgiving, God will honor my thanksgiving. The same with hair if I choose to wear it.

  9. simone56 says:

@1524k what makes this response more tragic is that you actually believe that this is true.

Give me ONE SCRIPTURE IN CONTEXT which tells women either indirectly or directly that wearing fake hair is wrong.

In my last response I explained very well that this hair most likely does NOT make it to the most beauty supply stores and its most likely synthetic. This hair finds itself in custom made pieces which costs thousands of dollars.

I think you need a course in Romans 14.

  10. 1524k says:

to simone56: wearing fake hair is wrong & it goes against the Bible. that hair is sacrificed to idol gods and a Christian isn’t supposed to have any thing to do with idols, anything that is done for idols is wrong & u ain’t supposed to have anything to do with that

Nothing’s more beautiful to me than a black woman with her natural hair texture in any type of style. I’m tired of them wearing these ridiculous long weaves that don’t even look right. I mean if you are going to wear one, don’t make it obvious. I know your hair isn’t 3 feet long. I know you don’t have two different textures of hair.

  12. simone56 says:

Now the more expensive pieces do have human hair and they do run for thousands of dollars. This movie was a HUGE eye opener, but honestly being that I KNOW that the hair they sell in the beauty supply is not really “human” it wouldn’t affect my purchase.

I like synthetic hair anyway. LOL It is better to manage. Unfortunately as long as there is a HUGE demand they will be an overwhelming supply.

  13. simone56 says:

Well I have seen this movie and here is my take on this scene.

I find it very disturbing that women are having their hair taken right off of their heads at night because of greed. These temples are nothing but scams too.

Now to be honest, most of the “human hair” in most beauty supply stores isn’t really HUMAN. Remember there is no regulation in this industry at all to validate these claims.

Most of the time the hair is made out of synthetic fibers made to look like real hair.

  14. diamonddoll1008, your opinion is appreciated. However, this movie is a discussion about the industry — not about a woman’s individual choices about her appearance.

As for how “the church” is affected, I SPECIFICALLY presented this video to highlight this issue. Given the statistics regarding Black women and their consumption of hair products, it is safe to say a sizable percentage of them are responsible for supporting this industry (which is based largely on idolatry and exploitation).

  15. I will say what I have always said when it comes to any discussion/debate about hair. Hair is the last thing that affects who I am or my relationship with God. There are much more pressing matters that affect the church and the world than someone’s hair. It is a distraction and a poor one at that. I have enough going on in my life to worry about what someone is doing with their hair. If they are willing to buy it, sew it, perm it, lock it, that is their business.

  16. vnubski says:

This is typical, our women can have a working knowledge about the false deities sacrificial offerings. And they will still purchase this crap and give you the side-eye if you inform them of the wrong-ness of the wearing thereof

  17. alm619 says:

    wow… is all I can say…wow

  18. alm619 says:

Tia, you and me both… !!

  19. 4ULordSDG says:

despite the fact the weaves come from hindu temples. I am just tired of seeing them. REAL tired. True Women of other aces wear weaves, But NOT at the rate of Black women. We really have to get back to doing our own hair. There used to be a time where there were black women with gorgeous heads of their own hair. Now most of us wear weaves :(

  20. @EPP706 I thought about you when I was making this video…LOL

  21. EPP706 says:

@minimalistmaverick89 Girl…I second that. Ain’t nothing mo’ better than being au naturale! :)

  22. ADubTV says:

Holy crap!!!!! I didnt know they was on it like that!!!!
