Requested Skin Care Regimen (Oily Skin)

I was asked to do a skin care video by Coucou1981. I have oily skin so this might help others with the same.

My Mom made me use peroxide for years!

  2. @Spo1ledbratbaby r u kidding me? It’s a blessing and it makes people look younger? Haha, yah right! That’s ridiculous!

  3. your skin is gorgeous… here is a little secret, oily skin keeps us looking younger. I’m almost 43 and get told that there is no way that I’m that old. LOL. I hated my oily skin until I found out that it can keep one looking younger. So truly having oily skin not a curse, but a blessing.

  4. Thanks for posting this video! I have developed a skin care routine very simple that works for me, but it’s inspired in yours. I went online and purchased the facial brush from Sally, and got a creamy cleanser/mask from neutrogena. I wash off the make up with African black soap and the brush, then I use the cleanser; I don’t use anything else on my face. My face has improved so much!! Thanks again.

  10. luvlywone says:

Great video!!!! Never heard of the peroxide on breakouts…Tried it and it worked great……thank you so much for this video….

  12. luvlywone says:

    glad to hear that!

  13. jamellia says:

Lol It’s natural and gentle on the skin…. Just try it again and see maybe on one of your off days from using you normal face wash. I am turning thirty in 4 months and in the last few month I have had break outs y idk! but I like the blk soap

  14. I tried the peroxide! It really worked. I’ve used it for the past two nights and my few breakouts that I’ve had have cleared up :-)

  15. luvlywone says:

My family and I purchased black soap, a really unrefined kind. I only used it for a few days before I got scared and went back to my normal face wash because I didn’t want a breakout.

  16. jamellia says:

Hey Shipmate! I have very oily skin and will be getting Lasik surgery to get rid of my glasses and contacts cus of the oil. But I use black soap for my face and hair. black soap is wonderful

  17. luvlywone says:

I hope those help you out. Also, you might want to try rubbing ur face with the peroxide. It really does help when I have a breakout. But be sure to follow up with a good moisturizer because it can be drying on the skin. I used to use Ambi and it was an okay product but I now try to use more natural things on my skin because a lot of these cleansers have products that are acutally known to be skin irritants. Good luck!

  18. This was a great video..my skin is soooo oily and acne proned…I’ve been using a cleanser by Ambi and it seems to be working. I am going to try that Astringent by AO and the Queen Helene scrub.

  19. luvlywone says:

ur welcome. i hope that some of the things that work for me also work for you. oily skin can suck most times, but we do age more gracefully because of it.

thank you so much!!!!! i REALLY APPRECIATE you taking the time to do this vid…i have oily skin too and so i could relate…will get myselft the scrub and aubrey organics cleanser! i used AO hair conditioning products and they are staples for my 4b-c hair, im sure i’ll like their facial cleansers :) thanks again :)

I thought so too, I only use a tiny bit, half the size of a pea. While my hands are wet, rub it into my hands then press into my face. Then, pat the excess off with my towel. It isn’t for everyone. Great vid! glad to see that I’m not the only one who does the nose thing!

  22. luvlywone says:

I’m afraid to use shea butter because it might clog my pores and make my skin even more oily

  23. ykmfisher says:

The mask is great, it helps tighten the skin too. I too started the nose thing in high school :-D

  24. ykmfisher says:

Yeah, and @ night I use Kiss My Face Ultra moisturizer, in the Morn I use shea butter. Because I don’t really like the aubrey’s moisturizer either.
