“The ascent to beauty” is a documentary about the martial art Aikido. Starting at the Dojo of Ulrike Serak, the first woman to found an Aikido-Dojo in Germany the film sets out to explore the world of this Budo-Form. Portraiing her, her student Max Eriksson-Ohlwein and the masters Endo Seichiro and Christian Tissier. – Directed by Manuel Radons.
