    What a great message – thanks – I also have 3 kids and have just started a new diet and exercise regime – I am going to keep focused on that and them from now on – I am sure that once I have toned up, my dimpled tummy skin will not bother me so much. Thanks again – Steph, UK.

  4. @joverton0916 Don’t feel that way.
    Just keep doing this excercise and you will see results :)
    I am not pregnant or has had children but i know how it feels when women feel self concious about their selves after children. My mom has been through the same thing lol. Just keep searchin until you find the workout that best fits you.

    well 1 thing i can say is she looks good n theres no problem with having like 2 inches of loose skin just live with it but over 2 now thats a problem

  7. @PurpleHoneyBear So then logically it follows that one would preserve as much muscle as possible, taking regulars breaks to replenish it even, which is done using diet and exercise and what is called the zig zag method. This actually prevents a plateau as well because you continue to confuse your body by adjusting your calories back up to maintenance or surplus every few days.

    I think our approach to dieting needs to change. I recommend people look up Tom Venuto because he can get you there!

  8. @PurpleHoneyBear But getting back to muscle. When you start out thin at say 120lbs, balloon up to 300lbs, and then for example lose weight and get back down to 120lbs, one of the things that can happen is your body composition is distorted. So you see that “skinny fat” effect that is so common among so-called “successful dieters”. You can’t expect to be firm and taut if you’re down to your goal weight but this time with less LBM. It’s just fat, which skin doesn’t cling to like it does muscle.

  9. There are aspects to this “loose skin” thing that are totally illogical. One of the issues is that folks often assume that weight loss is fat loss, even though you can loose massive amounts of muscle tissue along with the fat. So you have to take special care to monitor your body composition so as to ensure that it’s mostly fat that you’re losing and not precious LBM (lean body mass).

    Another important thing is making sure that you don’t lose it too quickly.

    it doesn’t make me feel better, only hopeless, angry, mad and pissed off!! I am not accepting this..thing..I don’t want a “baby house” There’s no baby in there. This sucks!!!!!!!There’s gotta be a better answer to get rid of it.
